Lisa Clark serves as the consultant for South Central and Western KY. She earned her degree in elementary education, middle school math, and computers. Her master’s degree is also in elementary education. Lisa spent 27 years in the classroom teaching kindergarten thru fourth grade. With years of experience in the classroom, she is aware of the challenges faced in teaching students to read successfully and the five components necessary for an effective reading program. Like Dr. Seuss stated, “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you will go.” Students who learn to read have a vast array of opportunities and gain a lifelong love of learning. Helping teachers find the right resources to help their students be successful feels very satisfying. After writing grants and implementing many programs over the years, she has a clear understanding of what materials are effective in the classroom. Successful programs are easy to use for teachers and students and make learning enjoyable and fun! Lisa used Lexia Core 5 to fidelity in her classroom and saw the great impact the program had on her students.
